For my block print pattern, I created a jumbled and random alphabet on a small square of printing material. I decided to stamp on my design in an orderly grid pattern with a thin space of plain white paper in between each square. I first came up with my pattern idea when I used to doodle it on my notebooks in middle school. I really enjoy how the background is all black with only the white letters to break it up. I think I lined up my squares almost perfectly, and think it created a more organized look to contrast the random letters. If I were to fix anything about my pattern, I would try to line up my letters more and make the lines straighter. Overall, I like how you can tell my pattern is handmade, and like how my personalized pattern gives me nostagia from middle school.
