This is the name illustration I created in Adobe Illustrator with my own hand drawn images. I wanted to create unison in my piece, so instead of separating my name from my drawings, I incorporated them into each of the letters by using different lines and shapes. I started out this piece by sketching my individual objects out in pen, and then uploaded them into Adobe illustrator to drop in color. I hand wrote my name too, and simply copied everything on to the same art board. I tried to line up the straight edges of my drawings with the straight line of my letters, and then filled in the extra white spaces with irregular shaped objects. The inspiration for my drawings came from things I love in life, and what I feel describes me. For example, the ocean is my favorite place to be, so I drew two little waves. I added in a lot of earth-related objects too because I love nature and am very passionate about climate change. My color pallet was based on my favorite seasons, which are fall and summer, so I kept the colors muted so it would have a more relaxed/peaceful feel. I really enjoy how the layout of my name illustration flows together, and like how my drawings all came together even though they are pretty different from each other.
